Wastewater Discharge Sampling and Reporting
Watermark is currently providing wastewater discharge sampling and reporting services for the hospital’s discharge permit compliance program.  This project requires close coordination with the City of Lowell Regional Wastewater Utility (LRWU) due to previous discharge violations.

Wastewater Discharge Metering System - Design and Construction
This project involved the design and construction of an automated flow metering system and improvements to two sampling stations, as required by the LRWU.  Watermark designed and installed a wastewater flow meter at Discharge Site No. 003 to measure and record flow discharges.  Flow data is recorded on a display mounted inside the hospital basement.

Sewer & Drainage System Improvements – Design and Construction
Watermark completed the design and construction of a number of drainage system improvements for the facility.  This work will be incorporated into the facility’s master stormwater and wastewater discharge separation project.  One of the main separation manholes was located in a high-traffic area on the entrance ramp to the emergency ambulatory care wing of the Hospital, which necessitated careful planning, construction and traffic management.

Industrial User Discharge Permit Renewal Application
Watermark updated the hospital complex Industrial User Discharge Permit Application for submittal to the LRWU for renewal of the facility’s discharge permit.  As a part of this effort Watermark also researched the facility’s base sewer and drainage maps and created an accurate layout drawing for the drain and sewer lines from each building on the property.
